According to Van der Poel, this shop was bombed in 1943.
The mouth of the well no longer existed in 1986, perhaps obstructed or destroyed during the bombing.
See Van der Poel, H. B., 1986. Corpus Topographicum Pompeianum, Part IIIA. Austin: University of Texas. (p.70)
Garcia y Garcia also said the shop was partly damaged.
The mouth of the cistern, also recorded by Viola, seemed to
be closed since the bombing.
See Garcia y Garcia, L., 2006. Danni di guerra a Pompei. Rome:
L’Erma di Bretschneider. (p.62).

According to Boman –
“The floor has collapsed in the SE corner, though the reason
is not known: presumably a cistern or pozzo nero that
has collapsed — the structure in the SE corner has not been investigated.
In the centre eastern area of the room a pozzo nero partly filled in was
excavated - the material gave that the taberna could have been used as a
fullers.”
